RICHARD P. CRUDO
RICHARD P. CRUDO, ASC is a cinematographer and director who also served six terms as President of the American Society of Cinematographers. Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., some of his feature credits include American Pie, American Buffalo, Brooklyn Rules, Down To Earth, Grind, Out Cold, Outside Providence and the forthcoming Roadkill McGillicuddy. He has also contributed photography to a variety of episodic series. Directing credits include the feature Against the Dark; he also wrote and directed the feature Dirty People. Current projects include the documentary Ed Murphy: American Hero; it explores the life of one of the first members of the U.S. Navy's Underwater Demolition teams - the forerunners of today's Navy SEALs. In addition to being a past Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, his professional affiliations are widely varied.
